Villa Empat

Traditional Balinese architecture, reimagined

Overview

Thatched alang-alang roofs and hand-carved stone meet contemporary comforts in Villa Empat. A celebration of Balinese architectural heritage, set beside a sacred water feature.

Villa Empat was built by a family of Balinese craftsmen over three years. Every surface tells a story — the carved stone doorways, the hand-laid mosaic floors, the alang-alang thatch that breathes with the tropical air. Modern plumbing, climate control, and a fully equipped kitchen sit invisibly within the traditional shell. The sacred spring-fed water feature at the garden's heart is tended daily.
